Activities for Children's Day 2025: From the North to the South of the Country

Northern Portugal

• Serralves em Festa
  The country's largest festival of artistic expression returns to Porto, with free activities for all ages, from May 30 to June 1. It includes workshops, shows, music and much more.

• MAR Shopping Matosinhos

  Mini children's show with LadyBug, with two sessions, at 2.30pm and 4.30pm, promising lots of entertainment and smiles for the little ones.

• Braga Parque
  Special performances with the characters Bluey (May 31, 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and CoComelon (June 1, 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.).

• Paço de Giela (Viana do Castelo)
  The “Brincar com História” (Playing with History) event takes place on May 31 and June 1 and features workshops, shows, inflatables and fun activities.

Center of the country

• Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva (Aveiro)
  Show “It's not magic, it's science!” on June 1st at 15:30.

• Alma Shopping (Coimbra)
  Creative Workshop, Álbum de Família (Family Album), on June 1st, at 11:00 and 14:00, on Level 1 of Alma Shopping, next to the Playground.

Lisbon and Tagus Valley

• Festa da Criança em Cascais

  One of the biggest events in the country, with free activities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Cascais Bay and Citadel. It includes pedal carts, climbing, slides, bouldering, nautical activities and much more. Aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and their families.

• Laboratório da Quinta (Parque Urbano da Quinta da Piedade, Póvoa de Santa Iria)
  Free event on June 1, with educational and fun activities for all ages, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. There will be inflatables and trampolines, workshops and games, theater, itinerant entertainment and much more.

• Jardim Zoológico de Lisboa (Lisbon Zoo)
  Celebration of the 141st anniversary and Children's Day, with wild stories and surprises for the whole family. On May 31 and June 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., there will be a “Mission Planet Earth” Peddy paper, and stations throughout the zoo area with face painting, workshops and activities.

• MAAT

  MAAT is celebrating World Children's Day with a range of activities for kids and adults on June 1, from 10:30 to 18:30.

• Hard Rock Cafe Lisboa
  On June 1, there will be face painting and magic balloons to the sound of rock music! During the day, children have free meals.

• Disney in Concert no Teatro Tivoli BBVA
  Musical show with the best songs from Disney films, from May 30 to June 1.

• Capricciosa Restaurants (Carcavelos, Cascais, Parque das Nações e Cais do Sodré)
  On June 1, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Capricciosa restaurants will celebrate the little ones with free face painting and a fun activity to create cardboard crowns. All in the midst of delicious pizzas! In addition, the brand is launching a partnership with Baby Sisters and is offering a 20% discount on babysitting for customers registered on the app.

Southern Portugal

• Badoca Safari Park (Alentejo)
  Wildlife reserve where, on June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., families can meet twin Ring-tailed Lemur cubs and have an unforgettable experience.

• Kids Festival in Reserva Natural do Cavalo Sorraia (Alpiarça)
  On June 1, starting at 10 a.m., it will be transformed into a veritable children's paradise. The day will be marked by a program full of activities, surprises and strong emotions.

• Forum Algarve (Faro)

  On May 31 and June 1, from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., children are invited to celebrate this date with lots of jumping and family fun, with inflatables, air bungee and shows.
